Oshkosh Police Officers Dragged By Driver

A 26-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after dragging two Oshkosh Police officers during a traffic stop on Doty Street Thursday afternoon. The woman was giving an officer a false name when she tried to drive away. The officer and another who had stopped to assist tried to put her car in park. They were partially in the vehicle when she accelerated away. One officer was able to get out of the car and the woman then drove at the officer and struck him. The driver ultimately struck a home and front porch and fled on foot, but was quickly caught.  The officers’ injuries were minor. The woman is facing first degree recklessly endangering safety, second degree recklessly endangering safety, kidnapping, and battery to a law enforcement officer charges. She was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.
