Oshkosh Vehicle Chase And Arrest

Oshkosh Police were involved in a brief vehicle pursuit shortly after six o’clock Monday morning. At 6:08 AM officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Baldwin Avenue for a report of a vehicle parked on the grass with a man slumped over the steering wheel. As officers attempted to make contact with the driver the vehicle fled from the scene. After a short pursuit the suspect’s vehicle crashed into a power pole near the intersection of Bowen Street and East Irving Avenue. The driver fled on foot, but was found a short time later. The driver, a 19-year-old Oshkosh man, suffered minor injuries during the crash. The car had been stolen. He also crashed a stolen vehicle into a house in the 600 block of Jackson Street four hours earlier. The first crash caused a power outage.
