Pedestrian Hit & Killed In Berlin
The City of Berlin Police Department along with the Berlin Ambulance Service responded to an emergency call near the intersection of Center St. and E. Moore St., on a report of a subject being struck by a motor vehicle. Upon arrival a 22 year-old Oshkosh man was found to be struck by a motor vehicle and was suffering from multiple injuries. This subject was airlifted to a Medical Center where he was later pronounced died.
The driver of the motor vehicle is a 22 year-old female from Oshkosh, WI. She has been arrested and booked into the Green Lake County jail on a charge of Reckless Homicide.
Captain Block states that the identity of the deceased subject is not being released pending notification of family. Block further states that, “this is an ongoing investigation with several Berlin Police Department officers collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.”
The Wisconsin State Patrol has assisted with accident reconstruction and the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Department also assisted on scene.
An autopsy has been scheduled, and more information will follow, concerning this Homicide Investigation at a later date.
