Pinning Ceremony for FDL Native Joining Police Department

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department is welcoming a new
officer to their ranks. Officer Marcus Clapper successfully completed the Field
Training Program and was recognized in a Pinning Ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.

Clapper is a Fond du Lac native and graduate of Fond du Lac High School. He tells us “it means a
lot” to be serving the community he grew up in. He also says “it’s just
different serving the community I’m from” – as opposed to being hired and
moving to serve in an unfamiliar place.

Clapper grew through the Fond du Lac Police
Department, joining the Police Explorer Program when he was 16 and then being
hired as a Community Service Officer two years later.
