Plan Exit Strategy

An officer with the Fond du Lac Police Department says it never hurts to be prepared for terrorist events even at festivals here in Wisconsin. Officer Erik Foster says last month’s bombing at the Ariana Grande Concert in Manchester, England points to the need to take precautions. He says if you see something, say something. He says if you see something that looks bad and feels bad that is the time to act and do something. He says that doesn’t mean confronting suspicious looking or acting people, but notifying security or law enforcement at the event. He says the other thing you can do is to plan an exit strategy whether you are at a festival or a concert. Foster also recommends leaving as soon as you see something suspicious. He says it’s better to be some place safe whether something does or doesn’t happen.
