Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Winnebago County

No one was injured when a small plane had to make an emergency landing on U.S. Highway 10 in Winnebago County Tuesday evening. Sheriff’s officials say the single-engine Cessna took off from Brennand Airport in Neenah and began to have engine troubles. It was unable to return and made the emergency landing. It came to rest between Highway 10 at the State Highway 76 off-ramp. The pilot was able to steer off the highway. There were three people in the plane. The Sheriff’s Department, Federal Aviation Administration and the NTSB are investigating the emergency landing. The incident in the Town of Clayton was reported at 6:30 p.m.
