Plea Hearing Scheduled For Shannon Rogler

A plea hearing is scheduled next week for the 41-year-old Fond du Lac man who got in a standoff with Fond du Lac police in December of 2013. Shannon Rogler will be in Fond du Lac County Court for the hearing next Wednesday morning. Among the charges he’s facing are attempted 1st degree intentional homicide, two counts of 1st degree recklessly endangering safety with a dangerous weapon, burglary, arson and failing to comply with an officer. On December 9th of 2013 he allegedly set fire to his foreclosed home at 65 North Hickory and later that morning got into a standoff with police while holed up in an apartment in the Elms Mobile Home Park. According to the criminal complaint he fired a number of shots into the air and ground and at one point had a police officer in his sights, but didn’t fire because he realized the officer might be someone’s father. He’s being held in the County Jail on an $850,000 cash bond.
