Preliminary Hearings Held For Three Suspects In Child Sexual Assault Case

Preliminary hearings were held in Fond du Lac County Court Friday morning for three Fond du Lac residents facing charges for the alleged sexual assault of a six year old girl. Forty-one-year-old Shane Berg (pictured) and 18-year-old Tory Tuinstra waived their hearings and were arraigned. Not guilty pleas were entered on their behalf. Judge Peter Grimm granted a request from the lawyer of 40-year-old Ellen Neumann for a competency evaluation. Her preliminary hearing will be rescheduled. Berg and Tuinstra are accused of assaulting the girl and Neumann of knowing about it, but not preventing it. All three lived in two apartments in the 100 block of Ruggles Street. The apartments were separated by a door that was left open at night to allow the occupants to roam freely. While talking with investigators Tuinstra described the lifestyle in the house as dominance/Submissive. He told detectives Berg was the dominant one and went by the name of “Master Wolf.”  The sexual assaults allegedly occurred between June 1st of last year and August 18th of this year.
