Pridemore Runs For State Schools Superintendent

State Assemblyman Don Pridemore says he’s running for State Schools Superintendent because he’s tired of what he calls the “Dumbing Down of America.” He says the Department of Public Instruction and the way it is run is contributing to that. One thing he does favor is the expansion of the vouchers school choice program. He says it promotes competition and it does something about the monopoly public schools on the education system. He is also introducing a bill that clarifies state statute to make sure local communities have the ability to hire private security or retired police officers if there is a problem with safety in their schools. He says he’s not advocating allowing weapons in schools. Pridemore says he’s running against incumbent State Schools Superintendent Tony Evers to do something about liberal leadership in the education system.

The becca bill was created foe the wrong reason. Its not to help the children, it more of an intimidation tactic for scaring kids into school. Any other time this would be considered bullying! The bill only help raise revenue for the counties and does not really help the children. We are not in China or Russia! We as americans have rights, the becca bill tramples our rights as parents. Also tells the children that they need to fear the government or pay the price. What happened to our children come first.
The ones in charge of filing for becca here in okanogan county do not have any idea what the becca bill even has in it. They suspend kids then turn around and nail them with truancy!!! How fair is that??? The becca bill is no longer functional for any reason. It only creates hatred from parents and students students alike. The school here can't even follow their own handbook, how do you expect them to follow the becca bill laws? Students are not being given equal opportunity at omak school district and the surrounding towns here in okanogan county! I wish to file a grievance with the state on how the becca bill is being interpreted all over. The bill is being used improperly and abusively in okanogan county! !! I request an investigation into the matter.
