Pro Women’s Hoops coming to Oshkosh

Professional Women’s Basketball is coming to Oshkosh this Spring. That team was unveiled as the “Wisconsin Glo” and they’ll share the same home court as the Wisconsin Herd. Most of the players will have Wisconsin ties to UWGB, UW-Madison, UW-Milwaukee or Marquette, according to Greg Pierce, president of Fox Valley Pro Basketball.

The team, now called the Wisconsin Glo, will have a 12-person roster and be one of five teams that make up the Global Women’s Basketball Association, which was established in 2016. Other rival teams include Topeka, Flint, St. Louis and Nashville.
