Puppies Continue Recovery From Bleach Burns

Fond du Lac Humane Society officials say the puppies doused with bleach by an 8-year-old Fond du Lac boy continue their recovery. Shelter manager Renee Webb says the three puppies appear to be healthy and happy. She says they are eating and drinking and acting like normal puppies. She says they have an appointment with a veterinarian today and the two who suffered caustic burns will be examined closely. She says their tear ducts will be tested to determine how much damage was done to their eyes. She says the third puppy that wasn’t injured in the incident could have a new home soon. She says that pup that they’ve been calling Ike needs a second distemper shot and then is ready to go. The other two puppies have a longer road ahead of them depending on their recovery before a home is found for them.
