Pursuit Suspect Almost Strikes Two FDL Police Officers

On Thursday Fond du Lac police officers were sent to the 200 block of 19th St, to assist Glendale PD in apprehending a male suspect for a crime that occurred in their jurisdiction.

At approximately 6:20 p.m., City of Fond du Lac Officers were in the area of his residence waiting for him to return home.  The 67 year old man stopped his vehicle on the road by the two parked police vehicles.

Officers went to make contact with the man in his vehicle and he suddenly tried to drive away, and in the process of fleeing he almost struck two City of Fond du Lac police officers. Officers pursued the vehicle where the pursuit went into the County of Fond Lac and ultimately he drove back to his residence in the 200 block of 19th St.  He was taken into custody at this location.

The 67 year old faces charges in Fond du Lac including recklessly endangering safety, eluding an officer and resisting arrest.  In addition he has additional charges in Glendale.   No one was injured during this incident.

The Fond du Lac Police was assisted by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department, Wisconsin State Patrol and Fond du Lac Fire & Rescue.
