Record High Of Positive COVID-19 Tests, Also 579, 637 Total Negative

The COVID-19 testing numbers on Saturday were about half of what they have been, but Wisconsin still saw a record number of new cases. Almost 11% of the tests came back positive, with 738 confirmed cases reported, out of 6,822 tests. That’s the highest one-day total since testing began back in March. Most of the tests that were reported throughout June were below 3%. The 7-day average of 538 positive cases is also the highest it’s been since March.

The hospitalization numbers continue to be declining, with 235 patients hospitalized, with 67 of those patients in ICU. It’s still important to note, while confirmed case counts rise, there have also been 579,637 negative cases reported in the state, and the recovery rate for people who contract COVID-19 continues to hover near 80%
