Red Cross Johnny On The Spot At Fire Scenes

An official with the Northeast Wisconsin chapter of the American Red Cross says they provide help to firefighters and families at devastating fire scenes. Peter Sensenbrenner says a fire department will call the Red Cross when families need their help at a fire scene. He says they try to assist those families in the first 72 hours after a fire. He says that may mean setting them up with clothes, medication and shelter. The Red Cross assisted four Berlin families after they were displaced by a fire at an apartment building Tuesday night.
