Red Kettle Campaign Underway

The Fond du Lac Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign got underway in Fond du Lac County over the weekend. There are 17 floor standing Red Kettles and 90 countertop versions throughout the county. This year’s goal is to raise $160,000. Once again the KFIZ and 107.1 The Bull will host a Bucket Brigade on Friday, December 1st with collections being taken in our driveway on Winnebago Drive in Fond du Lac. Salvation Army Captains Steve and Telinda Wilson say Michels Corporation will be matching the first $8,000 donated that day. New this year at the same time that day there will be a second kettle collection at the Cobblestone Plaza across from the Fire Station on South Main Street. The Red Kettle campaign helps to fund Salvation Army programs like their food pantry, the warming shelter, brown bag lunch, youth and other programs.
