Retlaw Liquor License At Stake For Unpaid Utilities And Taxes

The Retlaw Plaza Hotel is back in financial trouble with the City of Fond du Lac. Representatives of North Main Hospitality have been asked to appear before the City’s Alcohol Licensing Committee this afternoon to address the committee on renewal of its liquor license. According to City’s complaint the Retlaw owes more than $27,500 ($27,547.94) in unpaid 2014 and 2015 utility bills. It also owes the City nearly $33,500 ($33,498.67) in unpaid property taxes. The Retlaw ran into similar problems two years ago, but the City gave it time to turn things around. The committee meets at 4 p.m. at the City-County Government Center.
