Ribbon Cutting Tonight for “Treffert Way” Charter School in NFDL

The public is invited to a ribbon cutting and welcoming
ceremony tonight for the School District of North Fond du Lac’s new charter
school, The Treffert Way for the Exceptional Mind. The school is targeted toward
diverse learners, and includes an “appropriately matched educational
environment that will invite them to explore and recognize their potential for
life success.” The school’s foundation is based on a six-step philosophy
developed by Dr. Darold Treffert, who has been studying autism and savant
syndrome for more than 50 years.

Events tonight will take place at Friendship Learning
Center in North Fond du Lac, with a welcome to visitors and tours at 6 pm, a
ribbon cutting at 6:30, with more tours and refreshments to follow at 6:45. The
school is located at 1115 Thurke Avenue in North Fond du Lac.
