Ringleader Of Campbellsport Drug Ring Sentenced To Prison

The 57-year-old woman who ran a heroin and oxycodone drug ring from her Campbellsport home is going to prison for eight years. Lori Merget was sentenced this week in Washington County Court. During the sentencing, it was revealed that in addition to seven people charged as part of the ring at the end of March, at least fourteen others worked as “foot soldiers” in Merget’s operation, while she never left the house. There were at least 100 people who purchased drugs through Merget, who took the orders, set the prices and controlled the inventory. Merget will be placed on extended supervision for five years following her prison term.  She is the second person in the drug ring to be sentenced.
