Ripon Common Council Approves Two Borrowing Resolutions

Ripon’s Common Council this week approved two borrowing resolutions. City Administrator Lori Rich says a loan of over $480,000 will help them pay for the third and final phase of the Watson Street Rebuild. The loan will also help with the Jefferson Street overlay and Silver Creek wall. The City will also be borrowing over $80,000 to buy rifles for the Police Department, and a tar kettle and loader for the Public Works Department. She says the equipment was actually purchased last year. She says they will be closing on the loans this week. The City got a 2 percent interest rates on the equipment loan and a 2.25 percent interest rate for the street projects loan.
