Ripon Man Killed In Car Vs. Motorcycle Accident
The name of the 35-year-old Ripon man killed in a traffic accident on State Highway 44 early Sunday morning has been released. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say Tym Paul Hollerup died after 25-year-old Travis Hartman of Green Lake ran into his bike. Hartman was looking down at his radio when he hit Hollerup’s motorcycle from behind. Hollerup was the third person to die in a traffic accident in Fond du Lac County this year.
A 35-year-old Ripon man was killed in a two vehicle accident in Ripon early Sunday morning. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Sergeant Renee Schuster says the accident happened on State Highway 44 north of Douglas Street. A 25-year-old Green Lake man was driving his vehicle behind the Ripon man who was on a motorcycle. Both men were heading south on Highway 44. When the Green Lake man looked down at his radio and struck the motorcycle from behind. The Ripon man died at the scene. The Green Lake man wasn’t hurt. In addition to Sheriff’s deputies, Ripon Fire and EMS and Ripon Police responded to the scene. The accident was reported at 3:32 a.m.
