Ripon Medical Center Welcomes New Nurse Practitioner

Michell Pascarella, a nurse practitioner, is now seeing patients at the Ripon Medical Center clinic, 845 Parkside Street in Ripon.

She joins other primary care providers, including Drs. Richard Gauthier and Ewa Paszkiewicz, and John Stanton, PA-C, family medicine.

As a nurse practitioner, Pascarella provides medical services to children, individuals and families with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention.

Pascarella earned her Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

“Each patient is unique and their needs reflect this,” Pascarella says. “I want my patients to always feel welcome and relaxed, knowing their concerns have been addressed.”

A nurse practitioner obtains medical histories and performs physical examinations; provides immunizations and other preventive care; diagnoses and treats illnesses; identifies, treats and manages chronic illness, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and arthritis; orders and interprets diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, blood work and EKGs; and prescribes therapy services.

“I look forward to serving people in a small town and serving all ages,” Pascarella explains. “Ripon Medical Center offers a team aspect for collaborative care, which really helps to more effectively serve our patients and their families.”

In her free time, Pascarella enjoys family activities with her three children, mountain biking and road cycling, cross country skiing and music.
