RMC Awards Fenner Family Scholarship to RHS Senior

The
Foundation for Ripon Medical Center has named Austin Lopez, a Ripon High School
senior, as the 2018 recipient of the $500 Arlene Fenner Family Endowed
Scholarship. Lopez is pursuing a pre-med/biomedical science degree at Concordia
University. He is the son of Gilberto Lopez and Jamie Lopez. Lopez was chosen
from among area high school seniors, pursuing a career in health care that
plan to attend a college or university in Wisconsin. The Arlene Fenner Family
Endowed Scholarship was started in 2005 after one of Ripon Medical
Center’s valued volunteers, Arlene Fenner, passed away. She gave Ripon
Medical Center 22 years of dedicated and unselfish service as an associate and
volunteer. The Fenner
family, knowing her love of volunteering, wanted to give something to Ripon
Medical Center in her memory. After deliberation, they decided to keep her
memory alive by offering an annual scholarship to area students.
