RMC Foundation Awards Arlene Fenner Scholarship
The Foundation for Ripon Medical Center has named Kelsey Rae Thompson, a senior at the Waupun Junior/Senior High School, as the 2014 recipient of the $500 Arlene Fenner Family Endowed Scholarship.
Thompson will be pursuing a degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and Bellin College. She was chosen from among area high school seniors, pursuing a career in healthcare that plan to attend a college or university in Wisconsin.
The Arlene Fenner Family Endowed Scholarship was started in 2005 after one of Ripon Medical Center’s valued volunteers, Arlene Fenner, passed away. She gave Ripon Medical Center 22 years of dedicated and unselfish service as an associate and volunteer.
The Fenner family, knowing her love of volunteering, wanted to give something to Ripon Medical Center in her memory. After deliberation, they decided to keep her memory alive by offering an annual scholarship to area students.
