Road Construction Suspended This Holiday Weekend

Drivers will get a bit of a break this Memorial Day weekend when highway construction project work zones close at noon today. State Department of Transportation officials say construction will resume at 6 a.m. Tuesday. State Patrol Sergeant Luke Newman says there will be spots you will have to slow down or will see delays if you’re traveling north before construction suspends today. He says there will be construction in the Neenah area on I-41 where you will have to slow down to 55 miles an hour. He says there is also some construction at the Brown/Outagamie County Line. He also says to look for some delays on I-43 in Manitowoc and Brown counties. He says that includes some bridge work in Manitowoc County. Peak travel time this holiday weekend is noon to 8 p.m. today and Monday.
