Road Worker Hurt In Dodge County Accident

A 29-year-old road worker was seriously injured during an accident on State Highway 26 in Dodge County’s Clyman Township Friday morning. Sheriff’s officials say a semi struck a Grand Caravan from behind as the van was slowing in a construction zone sending the Caravan into a spin. The Caravan then crossed the center line and hit a Ford van. The Ford was sent into a spin and hit Kurt Zuelsdorf who was a flagman working on the shoulder of the road. A Flight for Life helicopter flew him to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. The Caravan operator, 67-year-old John Sparks of Cambria, was taken to Beaver Dam Community Hospital. Neither the tractor trailer of Ford van driver were injured. The accident happened at 8:42 a.m. and closed down the highway for 2 hours.
