Rollover Crash on Van Dyne Road

The Fond du Lac County
Sheriff’s Office says alcohol and inattentive driving are considered to be factors in a rollover
crash that happened Sunday evening on Van
Dyne Road
in the Town of Fond du Lac. Authorities say a vehicle being
driven south on Van Dyne Road drifted off the roadway, struck a guard rail of
the bridge over Anderson Creek and then overturned into the creek. People
living near the crash scene were able to help remove the driver, who was
checked by paramedics at the scene and released. An unknown amount of gasoline
and oil were spilled into the creek as a result of the crash, and the Wisconsin
DNR was notified. Assisting at the scene were fire departments from the City
and Town of Fond du Lac, North
Fond du Lac
, the Fond du Lac Police Department and the North Fond
du Lac Police Department. The time of the call was 9:23 pm.
