Rural Campbellsport Man One Of Four Running For 59th State Assembly Seat

A rural Campbellsport man, Tim Ramthun, is one of four candidates running for the 59th State Assembly District seat. Incumbent State Representative Dan LeMahieu is not seeking reelection.  Ramthun says he has five priorities. They include jobs and economic development, lowering taxes, public education, and entitlement programs. He says he was pleased to see the State Supreme Court uphold ACT 10, but in discussions with district residents some felt they should also consider extending it to protective services like police and fire. Ramthun says he’d like to at least have that conversation. Ramthun says he’d like to see more collaboration and more things getting accomplished in the state legislature. He also feels he was put on a path that led him to running for the State Assembly. He says everything he’s experienced including small business ownership and serving on the Kewaskum School Board led to the decision in an effort to make a difference.
