Sabish Middle School Student A Champion Archer

Brady Buss, an archer for the Fond du Lac School District Archery team and an eighth grader at Sabish, recently competed in several archery tournaments. In January, Brady competed at the Badger State Games and placed first in the middle school, male, 3D and Indoor targets. At the State Indoor S3DA Tournament, Brady took first place in his division which qualified him to travel to Cincinnati, Ohio in early March to compete at the national level. He shot against other archers from across the U.S. and took first place shooting a 150 28X.

Dan Schroeder, State Coordinator for S3DA, commented, “This year’s event featured some of the best young archers in the state. The competitors, coaches and parents enjoyed the venue and the excitement of shooting for the awards and being recognized as state champions. It’s exciting to see the future of the sport and how well these young people can shoot. The future of archery is alive and well in Wisconsin with the growth of S3DA and all the families being introduced to the sport. Thank you S3DA for giving these kids a chance to showcase their skills and for producing a program that connects families to the outdoors, target archery and an introduction to bowhunting!”

Thank you to the local sponsors who supported the State shoot and Fondy’s team of archers: National Exchange Bank and Trust, Lakeshore Bowhunters, the DNR, Whitetails Unlimited Archery Club, and Groeschel Company.
