Salvation Army Announces Winter Assistance Programs

The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac County is announcing its 128th annual Winter Coat and Christmas Assistance programs. The programs provide winter coats, Christmas meal components, and gifts for children 16 and under to eligible households in our area. Those looking to apply to receive assistance can stop by the Salvation Army Corps along Macy Street from 3:00pm-7:00pm the afternoon of October 1st, or from 8:00am-3:00pm on Saturday October 6th. Those looking to volunteer with either sign ups, coat distribution, or Christmas distributions can contact the Salvation Army of Fond du Lac County either over the phone or online. Last year, over 1600 children and adults received Christmas gifts, 868 families had Thanksgiving dinners, and almost 400 families were given Christmas dinners through the programs.
