Salvation Army Christmas Distribution Day

More than 1,100 children and adults benefitted from the Fond du Lac Salvation Army’s annual Christmas distribution program Wednesday. Salvation Army Captain Steve Wilson says about 500 families received toys, clothes and food through the program they might not otherwise have received for the holidays. He says for the Salvation Army it is one of their favorite days of the year. Volunteers helped with the distribution. Jackelin is a member of the North Fond du Lac High School Key Club. She helped translate for the Spanish speaking people taking part in the distribution. She says she really likes helping people even if that was just providing translation. Captain Wilson says Fond du Lac really came together to make the program possible again this Christmas season. The distribution was held at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Recreation Center.
