School Districts Waiting On The State Budget

With state legislators back to work on the state budget some figures school district officials need to put together their own budgets for the new school year should become clearer. In the North Fond du Lac School District officials may have to deal with a small deficit. That will depend on enrollment and how much state aid the district receives. District Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says he is hoping the additional aid the Governor proposed per student for public schools will be coming their way, which would help with their own budget. The additional revenue would help the district build its teaching base. For North Fond du Lac and other public school districts there is no hurry because most approve their final budget in late October.
