Scouting For Food Drive A Success

Fond du Lac, Wisconsin – The 30th annual Scouting for Food Drive of the Bay-Lakes Council impacted communities across Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Saturday, October 21st, 2017. All food collected stayed locally to benefit our neighbors. Partnering food pantries and shelters received over 19,376 items just in Fond du Lac County and the surrounding communities! This reflects over a 4,000 item increase from last year just in our area. The total impact of this drive throughout the council nears 500,000 items!

In keeping with the values of Scouting, our Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers and Sea Scouts devote themselves in their oaths “to help other people at all times.” Now is the time we recognize our community for reinforcing the Scouting values of being loyal, helpful, kind and cheerful. We truly appreciate the community’s outpouring of support to make this drive’s impact a success!

We’d also like to thank our sponsors to help cover the expenses of running a large food – J.J. Keller Foundation, Fox Valley Technical College, Sargento Foods Inc., Bellin Health, and Beyond Health.
