Semi Roll Over Accident Closes Hwy 26

Update: An overturned semi on Highway 26 in the Rosendale area spilled 25 tons of meat renderings shutting down the highway. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials the driver 33-year-old Joshua Martinez of Green Bay suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Ripon Medical Center. He apparently went into a ditch after missing a curve and the truck overturned while he was trying to get back on the road. The highway is closed from the intersection of Highways 26 and 23 in Rosendale north to the Highway 41 113 Exit. The truck belongs to a Green Bay firm, Sanimax.

A section of Highway 26 from Rosendale north to Highway 41 in Winnebago County is closed while authorities deal with a semi-truck that rolled over. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say Highway 26 is closed from the Highway 26 and State Highway 23 intersection north to Highway 41. The accident was reported at 2:40 a.m. No details have been released about the crash or possible injuries.
