Senator Johnson Pleased Oshkosh Corp Will Stay In Oshkosh

The Oshkosh City Council Wednesday night approved the sale of a portion of Lakeshore Golf Course to the Oshkosh Corporation. It’s a possible site for the company’s new $18 million headquarters. U.S. Senator Ron Johnson is from Oshkosh. He has been watching that development and let it be known he was in favor of the sale. He says it is important for Oshkosh Corporation to remain in the city it is named after. He feels the 35 acre site would be a good location for the company’s new headquarters. The Council voted 6 to nothing to sell the land to the company for $3.5 million.
