Senator Olsen Recognized For Financial Literacy Efforts

State Senator Luther Olsen of Ripon was one of 12 individuals honored with the 2012 Wisconsin Financial Literacy Award last week. Senator Olsen has championed the teaching of personal financial literacy for much of his legislative career. “Learning how to manage your own personal finances, save for the future and stay out of debt are important life skills,” Olsen said. “I am honored to have been selected for this award. The Governor’s Council on Financial Literacy awarded the 2012 Wisconsin Financial Literacy Award to 12 individuals and nine organizations for their efforts in promoting financial literacy among Wisconsin citizens.
