Seven Injured In Three Vehicle Accident In Dodge County

Seven people were injured in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 33 in Dodge County’s Town of Herman Sunday afternoon. Sheriff’s officials say the accident happened just west of the intersection with County Highway P when an eastbound Toyota stopped to make a left-hand turn into a private drive way. The Toyota was struck from behind by an eastbound Chevy forcing it into the westbound lane where it was struck by a Dodge van. All four people in the Toyota were from the Cudahy area, the driver 62-year-old Froma Gerharz, 7-year-old Austin Gerharz, 6-month-old Joslyn Gerharz, and 60-year-old Donald Matlock. The first three were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend with non-life threatening injuries. Flight for Life flew Matlock to Summit Hospital. Forty-one-year-old Melanie Anzia of Mayville was driving the Chevy. She was taken to the Hartford Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Sixty-three-year-old Jeffrey Muenchow of Horicon was driving the van. He and a passenger, 61-year-old Karen Muenchow also of Horicon, were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend with non-life threatening injuries.
