Severe Thunderstorms Rumble Through the Area

A line of severe thunderstorms moved through the area in
the late afternoon into the evening hours Thursday. Numerous trees and branches and power lines were reported down in both the City of Fond du Lac and around Fond du Lac
County as the storms brought high winds and heavy rain to the area. Downed
trees and “extensive damage” to a pier on Lake Puckaway was reported in Green
Lake County as the storms moved through Thursday afternoon. Power lines and
trees down were also reported near Fox Lake and Beaver Dam in Dodge County. A 62
mile per hour wind gust was reported at the Fond du Lac County Airport around 4:45
PM. Just to the south, a 63 mile per hour gust was reported near the City of
Juneau in Dodge County.
