Sheboygan County Accident

On Saturday December
20th, 2014 at approximately 0659 hrs, the Sheboygan County Sheriffs Department
received multiple calls of a 2 car accident on STH 57(NB) near STH 28 in the
Town of Lyndon.  Upon arrival, Deputies
found that 2 vehicles had collided and one of the vehicles had rolled over coming
to rest on its side.  The driver of that
vehicle had been seriously injured and was trapped inside the overturned truck.
  Initial investigation showed that a
Ford Ranger operated by Thomas Yekenewicz, 61 years old from Sheboygan was
westbound on STH 28 and pulled into the path of a Dodge Stratus traveling
northbound on STH 57 operated by Michael Sielaff, 35 years old of Adell.

 

The Waldo Fire Department, Cascade Fire Department,
Adell Fire Department, Orange Cross Ambulance Service and Flight For Life
responded to the scene.  After
extricating Yekenewicz, he was immediately transported to Theda Clark Hospital
in Neenah for treatment of his injuries. 
Sielaff received minor injuries but was not transported to the
hospital.  The Sheboygan County Highway
Department and Sheboygan County Accident Reconstruction Unit also assisted at
the scene.  The accident remains under
investigation at this time.
