Sheboygan Woman Sentenced in Child, Animal Abuse Case

A Sheboygan
woman will spend a year in jail in connection to a child and animal abuse case.
Christie Rose Tuchel will also serve eight years on probation after being found
guilty of 26 counts – including two felonies for Causing Mental Harm to a Child
and Mistreatment of Animals causing death. According to the criminal complaint,
about 37 dogs were found alive at Kinship Companion Kennels in the Town of Wilson, but they suffered
from a variety of serious health issues. The bodies of at least thirty more
dogs were found on the property. As part of her sentencing, Tuchel cannot own
any animals. One of her co-defendants will be sentenced on Friday, while
another will stand trial later this month.
