Sheriff’s Deputy Suffers Minor Injuries in Crash Tuesday

A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy was one of two people injured in a crash in the City of Fond du Lac on Tuesday. A media release says the crash happened Jarrett Anderson of Fond du Lac was driving a minivan east on Merrill Avenue at the intersection with National Avenue. Anderson did not stop for the stop sign and entered the intersection. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy Blaine Evans was driving his vehicle north on National Avenue when he hit the passenger side of the minivan. The minivan then hit a second vehicle that was waiting at the intersection. That vehicle left the scene after the crash, and authorities are still looking for the driver of that vehicle. Both Anderson and Evans were transported to St. Agnes Hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries. Anderson was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign. The Wisconsin State Patrol is handling the investigation of the crash.
