Shilling Criticizes Republican Senators State Budget Proposal

State Senator Jennifer Shilling says the state budget proposal Republican senators rolled out a couple weeks ago doesn’t do enough for the state. She says it makes changes to the proposal the Governor put out in February. She says a month after the budget was supposed to be approved there are still differences over it. The State Senator Minority Leader says Republican senators are proposing more debt and more borrowing at a level they weren’t comfortable with two years ago. She says the plan brings on more debt, it brings on more tax breaks for the wealthy, and it ends up with less money for our schools and still doesn’t have any long term transportation funding solutions.
