Shooting At Algoma Town Hall
Police shot a man during a disturbance
at the Algoma Town Hal Thursday afternoon. He was taken to a local hospital.
According to Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials they located the suspect’s
vehicle near the Town Hall and a Sheriff’s deputy and Oshkosh Police officer
were involved in the shooting. Authorities say there was never an active shooter
in the area and the public was not in danger. The state’s Department of Justice,
Department of Criminal Investigation is conducting the investigation into the
shooting.The disturbance was reported to the Sheriff’s Office at 3:19
p.m.
