Sign Up Deadline for Leadership Fond du Lac Program is Friday
19 new graduates of the Leadership Fond du Lac program
were honored last week, and while one class of graduates moves on, Envision
Greater Fond du Lac is looking for the next class of students to take part in
the program. Leadership Fond du Lac runs from September to May, meeting once a
month to “learn more about the community, its unique challenges and strengths
through presentations, role playing, tours and other activities” according to
the program’s website. Students will also work on a group project as part of
the course.

says people interested can approach their employer and ask them to sponsor them
taking the course, or business owners can also nominate someone to take part in
the program. Worthington says there are benefits for businesses to have an
employee participate in Leadership Fond du Lac. “This is about recognizing your
up-and-comers, about building a network for them, helping them understand the
way that the community functions, what’s important to the community. It really
builds in that next level of leadership skills,” she said. There is a $1,500 fee to participate, which
covers the cost of the classes along with meals. Deadline to sign up is this
Friday, May 31st.
