Six Feyen Bills Passed By State Senate

Six bills State Senator Dan Feyen authored were passed by the Senate this week. The state lawmaker from Fond du Lac authored Senate Bill 75, which allows employers to claim a non-refundable income tax credit of 25 percent of their contribution into an employee’s college savings account. Feyen feels employers could use that as a tool when they are recruiting employees. Another bill he had a hand in will allow the Department of Corrections to contract with counties to send inmates back to their county of origin prior to their release to participate in work release programs. Yet another bill makes the third time a person solicits a prostitute a felony.
