Small Structure Fire In Lomira

The Brownsville Fire Company responded to a structure fire at ProBuild in the Town of Lomira early this morning. When firefighters arrived a vacant 8 foot by 20 foot structure had caught fire from embers the wind had carried from a rubbish burn pit. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire and the structure was torn down by a local contractor. Officials say there were plans for the building to be taken down in the near future. Other fire and ambulance services were dispatched for mutual aid, but many were cancelled before getting to the scene. The time of the fire call at W964 State Highway 49 was 3:40 a.m.
