Snow Storm Affected Salvation Army Red Kettle Effort

Record cold temperatures and a storm that dumped 10″ of snow stalled The Salvation Army Red Kettles last weekend.  With days remaining, The Fond du Lac Salvation Army issued an S.O.S:  The Red Kettle Campaign needs help.   



Ten local businesses immediately responded.   Lenz Truck, Grande Cheese, QPS Employment, Ellison Electric Supply, Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Baker Cheese, Commonwealth Companies, Fond du Lac Area Foundation –  Harold L. Sabel Fund, Muthig Industries, and Ahern Gross Plumbing donated and now challenge community to stand with them and help.  “It’s simple, really,” Lee Uecker, President of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home says.  “The Salvation Army is one of  Fond du Lac’s strongest helping hands and has been for 126 years.  We know the difference they make and the good they do.  Now they’ve asked for our help.  If we all pitch in and do our part, we can make this happen.  And we need to.”   



“When we need help and ask, help comes,” Salvation Army Captain Steven Wilson says.  “ We’re grateful  for the help.  We believe in this community and pray they will bless us with the resources we need.”
