SSM Health Names Steve Little To Newly Created Position

SSM Health has named Steve Little, current President and CEO of Agnesian HealthCare, to the newly-created position of Regional Chief Operating Officer (COO). He will begin his new role May 1.

Agnesian HealthCare of Fond du Lac, Wis., along with Monroe Clinic of Monroe, Wis., joined the SSM Health family in January when theCongregation of Sisters (CSA) of St. Agnes transferred sponsorship of their health care ministries to SSM Health.

As COO, Little will provide leadership and guidance for all SSM Health hospitals in Wisconsin, region-wide efforts to integrate our organizations and ensure an exceptional and seamless patient experience, as well as SSM Health’s affiliate partnerships in Wisconsin. He also will continue to provide leadership and guidance for the SSM Health hospitals in Fond du Lac, Ripon and Waupun.

Little brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare management and leadership to SSM Health. He joined Agnesian HealthCare as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2003, became the organization’s Executive Vice President in 2010 and has served as Agnesian’s President and CEO since 2012. Prior to joining Agnesian HealthCare, Little was Chief Financial Officer for St. John’s Medical Center in Jackson Hole, Wyo. Before transitioning into the health care sector, Little worked in the banking and public accounting industry.

Little serves on the board of directors of Wisconsin Hospital Association, Integrated Health Network of Wisconsin, and the Blue Line Family Ice Center. He also serves on the Audit and Investment Committee, and Council on Finance of the Wisconsin Hospital Association. He is the Secretary/Treasurer of Integrated Health Network of Wisconsin and the Blue Line Family Ice Center in Fond du Lac.
