State Assembly Passes Two Bill Authored By Rep Schraa

State Representative Michael Schraa is pleased that two of the bills he authored were passed by the Wisconsin State Assembly this week. Assembly Bill 345 will help prison inmates who are released to transition back into society. This bill allows a work-release program prior to release. Assembly Bill 366, commonly called the “Coroner Bill,” was also passed. It will provide an 11-member board in the Department of Safety and Professional Services to address training needs for death investigators. The board will provide training, issue licenses, and monitor licensure. Coroners and medical examiners have requested this board to improve the professional status of death investigators.
