State Of Union Reaction

Wisconsin’s two Senators had mixed reactions to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address last night. Senator Tammy Baldwin said, “Tonight the President focused squarely on how we need to move our economy forward and strengthen the middle class. While we have made a lot of progress coming back, in large part due to the President’s policies, going forward both parties in Congress need to work on continued progress instead of partisan politics.”

Senator Ron Johnson says the president isn’t providing responsible leadership. Johnson says he will provide leadership through his role as chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental affairs. He says their mission will be pretty simple to enhance the economic and national security of America.

Congressman Glenn Grothman attended his first State of Union Address. He says, “I was somewhat disappointed that the President didn’t address feasible solutions for many of the big problems the country is facing.”
