State Representative Schraa On Propane Crisis
State Representative Michael Schraa says his office has fielded a few complaints about the propane shortage. He says most of those were from people who felt their propane supplier was gouging them over the price. He says contracts contain small print that allows suppliers to raise prices, but people feel the price they signed the contract at should be honored. He says he’s glad Governor Walker talked with the president when he was in Wisconsin last week for additional funding to help with the crisis. He says restrictions are also being lifted to truck propane to the state from other southern states. The state lawmaker from Oshkosh says some suppliers were also caught short in this crisis not purchasing futures to protect them against the rise in prices.
